Hey guys,
I write for PC gaming magazine PC PowerPlay and am working on an article about the crossover between milsim fans and those in the actual military. I was referred here by someone on the BigD Project Reality forums who understands there are a few serving members here.
The idea for the article kind of came out of an internal discussion on whether or not America's Army actually works as a recruiting tool. We also want to explore the similarities and differences between how the military and armed combat is represented in milsims versus that of real life. We also want to explore the mindsets of those people who are a part of both - do you enjoy milsims because of your military experience, or vice versa?
Also, is there anyone out there who has played America's Army, and either signed up or been tempted to?
